Bonnie Thomas, Associate Professor in French Studies at the University of Western Australia, has an article appearing in Small Axe 30 (2009), “Edouard Glissant and the Art of Memory,” which relates to the themes of memory and trauma in her forthcoming book for CSP, Caribbean Writers on the Caribbean. Dr. Thomas has published articles in other journals, including The French Review, Essays in French Literature, and Dalhousie French Studies and contributed chapters to books in both English and French as well as to The Encyclopedia of the Caribbean. She teaches the French language and French-Caribbean and French-African literature to undergraduate and honours students and supervises doctoral students.
